Cora

Cora 23 is bed ridden with severe brain trauma because of a deadly car accident. At 19, she was independent, social and energetic. Late one winter night after her mother begged her not to go out; she slid on black ice and hit an oncoming car. Cora was in a coma for weeks; today Cora has impaired vision, cannot speak and does not have use of her right side. Cora’s brain injury is similar to a severe stroke.
Cora had her first experience on a horse since her accident at Paradise Equestrian Therapy Center in Charleston, Il.  Strengthening Cora’s core muscles  will help her balance and regain strength in her right side, this is just one of the many benefits of therapeutic riding.

I am proud to say that Reins for Gains was able to make this happen. My dream is to help Cora for a long time to come and many more like her.
